Red Dress Project 2016
The Women’s Resource Center is holding their annual Women’s Memorial March next week. The Center’s Carmen Fisher says part of the March is the Red Dress Project which is an aesthetic response to the more than one thousand missing and murdered aboriginal women in Canada. She says the event will take place at Pioneer Square February 14th at 5:15 and they will then do the Memorial March to honor the lives of missing and murdered aboriginal women in Canada.
The Center is in need of red dresses to hang around the community as part of this project. If you have one you can donate give them a call at 204-681-3105.
