A Special Art Display opens Tomorrow.

One hundred people have contributed art work to the Norva Center’s Square Foot fundraiser.  The Center’s Karen Clark says a variety of people from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and one from B.C. have paid 25 dollar for a square foot of canvas, painted on it and returned it to Norva for display and sale.  She says they have a number of first time entries which is even more cool because it’s not just about being a fund raiser it’s about giving people a gateway into showing their art and having it for sale in sort of a warm friendly kind of way of entering into that.

The display will be open for viewing and bidding starting tomorrow at the Norva Center at 177 Green Street.  They are open Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 5 and Saturday from 1 to 5. An opening reception is being held Thursday night at 7:30 with guest speaker Winnipeg artist Karen Cornelius.  The remaining art works will be auctioned off October 16th starting at 2 with auctioneer Raphael Saray.
