Food Distribution Chair for the Lord’s Bounty Food Bank Dennis Hydamaka reports it was an abnormally busy summer for the Food Bank.  He says they set a record in August feeding 281 people versus 147 for last August.  He adds for the two months they fed 454 people, handed out 240 hampers and year on year that gives them a 9 percent increase in the number of people they fed and 3 percent in the number of hampers they handed out.  He says that indicates to him that the family sizes are much larger this year than they were last year.

Hydamaka adds the have received a good sized donation of food, food has been coming in all summer from local people and they are doing okay financially.
