Flin Flon MLA Tom Lindsey says OmniTrax’s decision to lay off its workforce is devastating for those in the Port and Community of Churchill.  He says Manitoba’s Agriculture Minister gave platitudes to workers hurt by this decision not to ship grain through the Port.  Lindsey says the NDP believe, as do many Manitobans, that northerners deserve more and the provincial government should pick up a leadership role and bring stakeholders around the table to find a solution.
