The Flin Flon Rotary Club held an Air Show Appreciation Luncheon yesterday.  It recognized show sponsors, volunteers and special guest from the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and CF-18 Demonstration Team who put on an extremely popular air show Wednesday night.  Rotarian Bill Jackson who organized the event says they estimate around five thousand people attended the amazing show.  He says they had a great turnout, a safe show, good weather for the show, they are very happy and want to thank all the sponsors, all the volunteers, all the helpers and everybody that supported it adding it’s a proud day for our Rotary Club and our community.

Jackson was presented with an autographed portrait of the CF-18 by Captain Ryan Kean and sponsors of the event received autographed portraits of the Snowbirds.  Mayor Cal Huntley said it is amazing with this community can pull together, it was a spectacular show, well attended, well supported urging the teams not to wait another 25 years before coming back.
