The Federal and Provincial Governments have announced funding for water and waste water infrastructure projects in northern Saskatchewan communities.  The communities of Creighton, Beauval, Ile a la Crosse, Dore Lake, Pinehouse and La Loche will share just over five million dollars for upgrades of water treatment plants and reservoirs.  The projects have been identified as part of the ongoing Northern Water and Sewer program which manages the water and sewer assets of northern communities and is administered through the Northern Municipal Trust Account which is a provincial government agency.

  A release states by ensuring that water and wastewater systems are modern, efficient and meet the capacity needs of communities they are safeguarding the well being of residents, protecting waterways and preserving our ecosystems.
