The RCMP are Again Expressing Concern About Worker Safety.

Saskatchewan RCMP are reminding motorists to slow down to 60 kilometers per hour when passing highway workers, emergency vehicles and tow trucks.

They explain the 60 zone applies when passing a highway worker, any highway equipment occupied by a worker in a designated area, any highway equipment  on a highway that has warning lights in operation whether its in motion or not, a flag person or peace officer directing traffic, an emergency vehicle that is stopped on a highway with its emergency lights in operation including fire engines, fire department apparatus, ambulance, police vehicles or other vehicles while being used in response to an emergency and tow trucks stopped on a highway with its amber lights in operation or a vehicle providing assistance as a tow truck.

The fines start at 140 and 210 dollars and increase per kilometer over the speed limit.
