The provincial mine rescue competition is being held in Flin Flon Friday and Saturday.  Hudbay Mine Safety’s Olaf Hettrick says four teams are involved in the competition including the two Hudbay teams from Flin Flon and Snow Lake, Vale Thompson and Tanco from Lac du Bonnet and the biggest part of it which is the underground portion will be at Triple Seven Mine with the fire fighting within the Company compound.

The Flin Flon team is made up of Captain Trevor Thurston, Marshal Manns, Annette Last, Mike Desjarlais, Travis Pfoh, Eric McIntosh and Director of Operations Steve Palegato while the Snow Lake team is made up of Captain Aldin Kowalchuk, Vice-Captain Adam Harrower, Rene Gagnon, Jon Young, Jeremy Nickel, Director of Operations Bob Forsyth and Trainer Clint Parsons.
