The Flin Flon Fire Dept held their annual boot drive on Third Avenue on Friday and Fire Chief Jim Petrie says it was their most successful yet:

" This year was fantastik, and again I want to thank the citizens of Flin Flon for all their  donations. This year we will be giving the money to the Women's Safe Haven and Habitat For Humanity . We collected  $11,200.00 and the Scotia Bank is going to donate an additional $5,000.00 bringing the total to $16,200.00.That means each charity will recieve $8,100.00."

This is the 17th year that the FF Fire Dept has held this event and Petrie would like to thank the 14 firefighters, members of the Scotia bank and Barb Petrie for volunteering their time. A big thank you to all the citizens of Flin Flon and area as well for your continued generosity.
