At the Flin Flon City Council meeting last night Councilor Colleen McKee handed out copies of the new pocket sized brochure containing information and a city map to promote the city and the services it offers. She said it was an initiative of the Social and Community Services Committee and she praised Councilor Karen MacKinnon for taking the leadership in ensuring they have a quality product to promote our community. They will be available throughout the community.
Council also gave final reading to amendments to the Traffic Bylaw. One will establish a three way stop at Oak Avenue and Aspen Grove at the entrance to the Aqua Center and another cancels previous plans to put three drop off and pick up zones on Main Street.
Councilor Ken Pawlachuk congratulated Dan and Dawn Hlady on the re-opening of the Big Island Drive In Theatre, Councilor MacKinnon congratulated Domino’s Pizza on opening their business and Northland Ford on their new building and Councilor Leslie Beck congratulated the Legion for marking all the veteran’s graves at the cemeteries.
