Four Local Area Artists are Part of a Provincial Show.

The annual Manitoba Arts Network’s Rural and Northern Art Show that officially opened in Winnipeg Sunday features award winning artworks in a variety of media by artists from rural and northern Manitoba.  It feature selected works submitted to the Regional Juried Art Shows held across Manitoba each year and is attended by over three thousand patrons.  This year’s show features 46 artists including Karen Clark, Patricia Evans and Linda Sonnenberg-Jackson from Flin Flon and Crystal Banting from Denare Beach.

The Network states the show provides an opportunity for artists in the north and rural regions of the province to present their work to an urban audience and gives Winnipeg audiences an idea of the scope of work being created outside the perimeter by rural and northern artists.  The show is held in the Assiniboine Park Pavilion Gallery in Winnipeg and is open from 9 to 5 daily until July 28th.
