The Flin Flon Lions Club is holding a BMX and skateboard competition at the Skate Park Saturday.  Organizer of the event for the Club Alex McGilvary says registration starts at 9:30 with the skate starting at 10.  He notes they have three age categories from 12 to adult for both the skate and the BMX bikes adding it doesn’t matter how practiced you are, you come out and try as many tricks as you can and if you wear a helmet you get entered into a draw for a cash prize.  He urges people to come out and have fun and if you don’t know how to skate or bike come out and watch and cheer them on.

  McGilvary adds there are lots of prizes and there’s no entry fee for the competition, you just show up at 9:30 to register.
