This is a Weekend to Think About Safe Driving.

RCMP Detachments in Flin Flon and Creighton will be joining others across the country through this long weekend in marking Canada Road Safety Week, a national campaign aimed at making Canada’s roads the safest in the world.  The campaign will focus on behaviors that put drivers, passengers and other road users most at risk including impaired driving, seat belt use, distracted and aggressive driving and speeding.

Manitoba RCMP note impaired driving remains the single largest factor for traffic deaths in the province killing 175 people in the past five years in their jurisdiction. Saskatchewan RCMP report as of May 4th just over 100 days into 2015 there were 22 collisions which resulted in 30 fatalities in their jurisdiction.  They remind you making smart choices before getting behind the wheel can save lives.
