Local Projects will Benefit from Grants.

Three projects in Flin Flon are among 216 projects across the province to benefit from more than three million dollars in grants from the Community Places Program.  The Association for Community Living at 76 Channing Drive receives 5 thousand dollars for washroom upgrades and accessibility, City of Flin Flon Parks and Recreation 15 thousand dollars for Green Room heat, ventilation and air conditioning system replacement and Hapnot Collegiate Parent Advisory Council 30 thousand dollars for the Queen’s Park redevelopment project.

The Community Places program supports a wide range of improvements to recreational, cultural and community facilities.  It provides funding and planning assistance to non-profit community organizations to build, upgrade, expand or acquire facilities that focus on recreation and wellness.
