Flin Flon City Councillor Leslie Beck was on the inaugural flight for a new air service from Flin Flon and The Pas.  Missinippi Airways is providing flights to Saskatoon Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.  Beck says they left here at 11:30 Friday morning for about an hour flight to Saskatoon where they met with Arlen Dumas, Chief of the Mathias Colomb First Nation of Pukatawagan owners of Missinippi Airways.  She says it’s a good partnership with Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan adding she would certainly like to see it well used, she’s like to see it really embraced by businesses for freight and for business travel.  Beck says she thinks the price is reasonable and she really hopes to see it as a full service back and forth.

  A one way ticket on Missinippi’s nine seat aircraft to Saskatoon is 349 dollars and 698 return including taxes and fees.
