Information is Available on Living With Stroke

Living with stroke is a free group learning program that consists of eight two hour workshops conducted weekly.  The Northern Health Regions Chronic Disease Nurse Robi-Lynn Cooper Roberts says it’s been developed for people who have had a stroke or for people who care for them.  She says some topics include understanding stroke, what stroke is, physical changes and challenges, swallowing and nutrition, cognitive perception and communication, emotion, activities and relationships, reducing the risk of stroke and moving forward.

The workshops will start tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock and will run for eight weeks on Thursdays at the Flin Flon Primary Health Care Center through Telehealth.  If you are interested you can contact Robi-lynn at 204-681-3137.
