Men Can Help Prevent Violence

The Women’s Resource Center is holding a workshop on Men Standing Together for Justice starting Tuesday.  The Center’s Barb Hopkinson says men have a role to play in preventing violence against women and girls.  She says violence affects people no matter what your income, race, age, sexuality and its affects families, workplaces, institutions and communities.  She adds becoming allies with men is tackling this gigantic and increasing problem.  Hopkinson says they offer recovery, safety, empowerment and hope for men and women.

The eight week program is presented by the Women’s Resource Center and Father Paul Bringleson.  It starts Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 in St. Ann’s Hall.  You can register by calling the Women’s Resource Center.
