The Freedom Outreach Teen Challenge Program held their annual Walk for Freedom May 31st and their Program Director Chris Lowe reports all money has been turned in and they raised a total of 19,651 dollars from walks held in Flin Flon, The Pas and La Ronge. The walk is held to raise awareness of those afflicted by drug and alcohol addiction and supports the programs they run.
Prizes were awarded for most pledges with a 15 hundred dollar travel voucher or cash won by Moe Ricard of Flin Flon who raised 725 dollars and also returned his prize money to Freedom Outreach. Second prize of a flight to Winnipeg return on Calm Air went to Allyson Brown of La Ronge who raised 680 dollars and a weekend stay for two at the Victoria Inn went to Jacqueline Chitrena of La Ronge who raised 650 dollars.
