Hapnots Class of 2014 is Prepared for the Future

Diplomas were presented to 48 graduates of Hapnot Collegiate last night along with around 60 bursaries and scholarships valued well over 45 thousand dollars.

             

The largest award the Hudbay W.A.Green bursary for 35 hundred dollars a year for up to four years was presented to Shannah Fisher who also received the Governor General Bronze Medal for highest academic standing with a 98 percent average as well as the Sparling Trophy for the student who contributes the most to school life while still maintaining a good academic standing.

             

Valedictorian Peter Ryan reflected on his school years thanking his teachers and parents advising his fellow students life isn’t always about being the best at something but doing your best to achieve something.

             

Guest speaker former teacher Chelsea Russell offered advice for success in life congratulating each of the students noting the arena is full of people who are celebrating their accomplishments adding they have so much to offer as they move forward.
