The annual Battle of the Bands will take place Saturday afternoon.  Organizer Alex McGilvery says they’re looking for bands who want to have fun and win prizes.  He says they do need to have at least three people in the band and they’d like to have a drummer so that it’s a real band and these are rules that were set up back in the days when Dave Gunn was running it and they have continued them.  He says it’s a great chance to have lots of fun, have some good music and encourage young people to continue to provide their kind of music.
The Battle of the Bands is being held Saturday at 4 on the Main Street stage.  You can enter by calling Alex at 204-271-2066.
