National Aboriginal Day is being celebrated at the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Center Saturday afternoon. The Center’s Events Coordinator Jeremiah Herrman says they will have food and entertainment. He says they’re going to have an opening ceremony starting at 1 o’clock until about 1:15 followed by the Silver Star Evening Singers from the Community Resource Center, there’ll be a couple of local performers, the Hoop Troop from Creighton and the headliner this year will be Tracy Bone who will have a one hour performance.
Herrman adds there will also be a couple of raffles, a 50-50 draw, a toonie parade and other events. It runs from 1 to 5:30 Saturday in the Friendship Center parking lot on Church Street.
