Several Local Projects Will Benefit From Grants.

The Manitoba Government has invested in recreational, cultural and learning opportunities across the province with 2.9 million dollars from the Community Places Program. In this area the City of Flin Flon will received 25 thousand dollars for a Community Center boiler replacement, the Camp Whitney Committee 5 thousand dollars for Kings Trail improvements, McIsaac School Parent Council 9 thousand dollars for a playground upgrade and the Flin Flon Curling Club 10 thousand dollars for main entrance and club room flooring upgrades.

The Community Places Program provides funds and planning assistance to non-profit community organizations to build, upgrade, expand or acquire projects.  Applicants contribute to project costs through local fund raising efforts, grants from other sources or donated labor and materials.
