The Canadian Red Cross wants Manitobans to nominate people for their Humanitarian of the Year Award as well as the Young Humanitarian of the Year Award which is open to people under 30. Their Development Provincial Lead Tansey Buike explains they’re looking for people to recognize individuals in their community that really make Manitoba and the world a better place through volunteerism, charity or philanthropy.  She says these people are all around us working every day to make our community better and they are using the awards to recognize these people and inspire others to so the same.

The deadline for nominations is Friday by going to their website www.redcross.ca/manitoba/events/poh.
