Summer is going strong and the first big event for this year's Flin Flon Trout Festival will start this Friday.

 

The month long Trout Festival Fishing Derby will kick off a great summer of events including a chance at a lot of big cash prizes for Walleye, Northern Pike and Trout.

 

The derby will start this Friday and wrap up on Monday June the 29th and you will need to purchase a fishing kit to take part in the derby once again this year.

 

The kit is $30.00 for adults and will include the rules, fish handling guide and measuring tape. There is a $10.00 fee for anyone 15 and under.

 

You will also need a valid Manitoba or Saskatchewan fishing license to take part.
