The Norman Northstars wrapped up the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League regular season this past weekend, with three games in three nights.

The Northstars took it to Eastman 8-1 on Friday, and followed that up with a couple of respectable showings against the Winnipeg Thrashers and Wild, losing 8 to 3 and 7 to 4.

Norman finishes the regular season at: 10-33-0-1, 21 points and eleventh overall and will not qualify foir the playoffs.

The Northstars did improve drastically when former coach Doug Korman took over the coaching reins in early December. Norman only had one victory at that point and were getting blown out in most of their games.

Korman also did a good job with the team away from the rink, including getting the players together to shovel snow at a senior's housing complex.
