Bombers Deal Boehm

Mike Reagan has pulled off some big trades before, but I think it is safe to say, this may be one of the more shocking deals.

The Coach and GM was in the CFAR studio to make the big announcement earlier this afternoon. Reagan announced that Brett Boehm had been dealt to Yorkton for 18 year old forward Dalton Menke and future considerations, which will be a player for next season.

Reagan said this is very similar to the Andrew Johnston trade with Humboldt a few years ago which turned out very well for Flin Flon.

" We are excited about this trade for lots of different reasons, in Menke we get a player that will be with our club for three seasons." " He is also a very good centreman who is excellent in draws, something we are lacking right now." We gave up a lot in  Brett  who was our most skilled player, he won the SJHL rookie of the year , and was leading our team offensively this season." "We had different ideas in what direction the team was heading and decided to make this deal."

Boehm was leading Flin Flon in goals with 10 and points with 23. Menke has 10 points including 6 goals, and will be in uniform when the Bombers play their final two home games of 2013 this weekend.

Reagan also announced that they have dealt 19 year old defenseman Connor Bass to Way Way of the MJHL for future considerations.

The Bombers have nine defensemen right now, so Bass became part of the numbers game.
