Kodiaks Host Border Bash

The Creighton Kodiak Senior boys basketball team will kick off their season this weekend, when they host the annual Border Bash.

 

Action kicks off Friday when Creighton plays Cranberry at 2, followed by MBCI out of The Pas playing Sandy Bay at 3:30, Star City against Beauval at 5 and Norway House against Buffalo Narrows at 6:30.

 

Playoffs start Saturday at 9 AM.

 

The Hapnot Senior Kings will be in Brandon for the BSSI Invitational this weekend. This is the biggest boys high school basketball tournament in the province and head coach Don Dyke says he is looking forward to seeing how his team competes.

 

" Not only will we doing a lot of playing, but watching the teams as well." " We will use this as a gauge to see where we are and where we need to get to."  "We have a completely new starting line up, and we are looking to be successful and be competitive again this year." " I believe we have the group that can get it done."

 

34 teams will be competing and Hapnot will play Nelson Mcintire out of Winnipeg, Thursday at 4 and Minnedosa and Stonewall Friday. Playoffs are Saturday.
