The 2013 juniors captured bronze at their final tournament of the spring season. The 2013 Junior Northstars competed in the 2nd annual Kings Cup this past weekend at the Seven Oaks Arena in Winnipeg.
The Northstars defeated the Wheatland Wild 8-2 to begin the tournament but would fall later that evening 7-4 to the host Kings. Saturday would see Norman rebound and pick up a 6-3 over the River City Rebels.
Norman would advance to the semifinals where they lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the Winnipeg Tropics 2-1 who would be the eventual tournament champions.
The Northstars would once again bounce back from a loss and knocked off the Top Shelf Warriors in the Bronze medal game 7-4. This was another successful weekend for the Northstars and the team received much praise from the tournament organizers and competing teams.
