The Flin Flon Bombers will be back on the ice tonight after an eight day break - for a weekend series against their arch rivals the Humboldt Broncos. This is Flin Flon's first game since beating the Broncos at the Elgar Peterson Arena 3-1 on October 30th.
The Bombers will have Connor Bucsis in the lineup tonight, after picking him up from West Kelowna of the BCHL. Bucsis had 6 points in 14 games with the Warriors.
Flin Flon will not have sniper Brett Boehm in the lineup this weekend, as he has been selected to play in the CJHL Prospects Game in Yarmouth.
" I think this is a huge honor, we are very happy for Brett and are very proud that we have another player who gets to go attend that." This says a lot about our organization with the fourth player we have had selected to play in this game." Michael Young, Cole Wilson, and Andrew Johnston have all gone in the past." " We are proud when we can have kids represent our organization." Mike Reagan shared these comments just before practice earlier today.
The Bombers find themselves fourth in the Sherwood Division at 7-7. They are one point behind Melfort for third, and both teams have played fourteen games. Flin Flon is only two points behind Nipawin for second with three games in hand on the Hawks and only four behind front running Laronge. The Bombers have two games in hand on the Wolves.
Humboldt is 9-7-0-1, second in the Kramer Division, five points behind the surprising Kindersley Klippers.
This will be the only regular season visit to Flin Flon for the Broncos, because of the Division realignment.
It is parent's weekend, so make sure you get there early for parent introductions before tonight's game. No broadcast tonight but CFAR and flinflononline.com will have tomorrow's game with the Murray GM Coach's Show at 7:15.
