Cam Blair scored a pair of goals, his 7th and 8th of the season as the Bombers were able to pick up their 7th win of the season 3-1 in Humboldt. The Bombers even their record to 7-7 with the win.
The other goal came from Parker Evans Campbell , his third of the season to open up the scoring in the first period. Rookie netminder Simon Hofley got his third SJ start and stopped 27 out of 28 shots for his second career victory. Cody Pongracz scored the only goal for Humboldt , when he buried one from the slot early in the third.
The Bombers were able to avenge a 3-0 setback in Nipawin the night before.
This was the Bombers best effort on the road this season and one of the best outings I have ever witnessed in Humboldt. Flin Flon could of easily won this game 7 or 8 to 1, without a good performance from Bronco rookie netminder Cade Spencer.
The Bombers improve to 3-4 on the road, and sit at 7-7 overall, third in the Sherwood Division. Flin Flon has 14 points which has them just 1 point behind second place Melfort. They are four points behind first place Laronge, and all three teams have played fourteen games.
Mike Reagan continues to make moves to solidify his team. The Bombers have traded 1995 born forward Ram Brar to Notre Dame. Brar suited up for four games in Flin Flon and didn't generate any points. Brar goes back to Notre Dame where he played Midget.
The Bombers have also acquired 1995 forward Connor Bucsis from West Kelowna of the BCHL. This completes the trade that sent goaltender Andy Desautels to West Kelowna earlier in the season.
Bucsis is no stranger to Saskatchewan, he is a former member of the Tisdale Trojans of the SMHL where he put up 37 points in 39 games. Bucsis also spent some time with the Nipawin Hawks.
The Bombers will enjoy a week off before returning to the Whitney Forum to face the Humboldt Broncos in a pair of games Friday and Saturday November the 8th and 9th.
