The Senior Hapnot Kings and Queens travelled down to Thompson this past weekend to defend their Zone titles in soccer.

 

The Queens were 2-0 in their pool beating Norway House 13 to 0 and MBCI out of the Pas 4 to 0.

 

That put them in the final against OCN and the Queens  lost that game 2 to 0 against a very physical OCN team which put an end to multiple Zone titles for  the Hapnot Girl's team.

 

The Queens may still get a chance to go to Provincials as they have applied for a Wild Card and if they get picked they will get a chance to go.

 

The Kings went 1-1 losing their first game to Moose Lake 1 to 0 before rebounding with a 1 to 0 win over Cross Lake.

 

This got the Hapnot Boy's team to the finals and they lost to an experienced Thompson team 3 to 0.

 

Thompson and Cross Lake will now represent the North for Provincials which start next weekend in Minnedosa.
