Mike Reagan Named CJHL Coach Of The Year

The accolades continue to come in for Flin Flon Bomber bench boss Mike Reagan.

Fresh off a career year, guiding the Bombers to 44 wins and winning his first SJHL Coach Of The Year, Reagan was named the CJHL Coach Of The Year today.

Reagan also picked up his 500th career coaching win this past year and is not only the longest tenured Bomber coach in  history but he is also the winingest.

Mike took over the club in 2006 and has built one of the most successful programs in the country which includes 5 trips to the league final and has never missed the playoffs.

Reagan says he is very honored to receive this award. " I think it is a tremendous honor, the fact that it is the Darcy Haugan award which makes it a little more special. I had the chance to coach against him and got to know him before the tragic accident. There are a lot of great coach's out there and it is very humbling to receive this award. I look at it as a team award and I have to give a lot of credit to the players , without them we don't have the record that we have. I also want to thank the organization for their trememdous suppport over the years and allowing me to do my thing. It is not the award that I want but it is nice to be recognized for the hard work of the entire organization."

Despite falling a little short in the organization's  quest for their first league title since 1993, this was one of the most exciting years in Bomber history.

Flin Flon finished first overall in the regular season and were the number one team in the country for 16 weeks in the CJHL National rankings.
