Northern Stars Place Fifth In Regina

The Northern Stars volleyball team made up of 15 and 16 year old girls from Flin Flon and the Pas  made their way down to Regina this past weekend for QCVC Under 16 tournament.

After dropping their first game, the Stars rebounded to beat the Wolf Pack out of Saskatoon  and SEAVC Black from Medicine Hat  to finish the tournament at 2-1 and finish fifth overall. That is very good for a northern team that hasn't played nearly as many games as the teams down south.

They made a good impression on the coach's and players in this tournament who recognized that this team from the North has a lot of talent.

The team is coached by Ray Shirran and the Stars will be getting ready for Winnipeg the weekend of May the 10th to the 12th for Provincials.
