Peguis Wins Their 7th Straight KJHL Title

Congratulations to the Peguis Juniors who continue to make KJHL history after claiming their 7th straight league championship last night.

The Juniors knocked off the PBCN Selects 6 to 1 to complete the four game sweep out scoring PBCN 25 to 6 in the four games.

After barely squeeking by Cross Lake in the semi's, Peguis certainly found another gear for the final.

Jeremiah Jacques hat the hot hand for the Juniors last night leading the way with four goals. Jacey Melnyk had the lone goal for the Selects.

Tucker ST. John was once again steady between the pipes for Peguis with 28 saves on 29 shots while Ethan Fechter stopped 39 out of 46.

The good news for PBCN is that their season is not over as they will host the Central Canada Cup later this month from the 17th to the 21st.

The Selects and Juniors will be joined by teams from the PJHL, Lakeland Junior Hockey League, Northern Junior Hockey League and the Interior BC Junior league.
