Selects Bury Peguis

The PBCN Selects broke out offensively big time at the Whitney Forum this past weekend and took it to the defending champion Peguis Juniors out scoring them 22 to 4.

 

The Selects rolled to a 9 to 2 win on Saturday and followed that up with a 13 to 2 win yesterday afternoon.

 

David Nakoolak scored his first two goals of the year to lead the way with local product Evan Madarash picking up his first of the year. Odin Chuch was solid stopping 27 out of 29 for his first win of the year.

 

Mathias Bacon Labbe had the hot hand yesterday scoring 4 goals and adding one assist in the 13 goal barage.

 

Odin Church got the start once again and was very good in stopping 34 out of 36 shots.

 

The Selects improve to 3-2 after the weekend and have climbed into third spot, just four points back of the first place OCN Storm.

 

PBCN will play a home and home with Cross Lake next week  with the Selects heading to Cross Lake on Thursday October the 26th and hosting them on Sunday afternoon October the 29th at 1:30.
