The Bombers will kick off their 7 game pre-season schedule in Nipawin Monday in an all rookie affair and back at the Whitney Forum to face the MJHL'S Swan Valley Stampeders on Tuesday.

Mike Reagan mentioned that he was very happy with the calibre of players at this year's camp and the compete level was very high. Mike also mentioned he did not know how many players he was going to keep, with his team playing 7 pre-season games they would need a lot of bodies. Lots of players are on the bubble and will need to be further evaluated.

Two players who the Bombers recently traded for Justin Rasmussen who was picked up from the Summerside Western Capitals and Jean Kristoff Grenier who was property of the Swan Valley Stampeders both arrive in Flin Flon Tuesday.

Mike would like to get them in the lineup in OCN Friday.

The trade for Tyler Kauk that the Bombers made with the Estevan Bruins back in July has hit a snag. Kauk has decided that he would like to stay in Southern Manitoba and the player that Flin Flon dealt 1996 born Connor Vermeulen doesn't look like he is going to report in Estevan either.

Reagan said the deal is not dead yet and they will try to find a way to satisfy both clubs. If a deal cannot be made Flin Flon will pursue another no.1 defenseman elsewhere.

Don't forget to get your names in for the Bomber golf tournament this Sunday September the 8th.  Shotgun start at 2 PM and over 5,000.00 up for grabs in prizes. Contact the Bomber office at 687-4404.
