The 2023 Cranberry Trout Derby wrapped up yesterday afternoon after two fantastic days of fishing on Lake Athapap.
48 teams from all over Western Canada took part.
When it was all said and done the Cranberry duo of Brady Fidierchuk and Lee Johnson finished first taking home the first place prize of $6,500.00.

Seventh- Cheryl and Chris Matheson- Sheriden
Eighth- Don and Logan Genier- Cranberry
Nineth- Ron Fidierchuk and Don Desroche- Dauphin
Tenth- Jaylen Oulette and Colten Tetoff- Flin Flon and Cranberry
The Candace Danielson Memorial for the Top Female Angler- Cheryl Matheson from Sheriden.
The Leslie Smith Memorial for the Youngest Angler with the biggest fish- Logan Grenier.
