Congratulations to Flin Flon's Joey Lies who went over to Czechia and won a Bronze Medal in the World Ball Hockey Championships.

Lies. who will be entering his second season for his home town Flin Flon Bombers this fall was one of seven players from Manitoba to make the Canadian squad.

Lies was a big part in the Bronze Medal win over the United States as Team Canada was able to come back from a 3 to 1 deficit to win the game 4 to 3. Lies scored the game winner with less than a minute remaining in regulation.

Canada finished with an over all record of 3-3 which included two wins over the US.
