Kenneth Morris of Hapnot Collegiate attended the 2023 MPA Powerlifting and Bench Press Provincial Championship this past weekend at Iron Image Gym in Selkirk, Manitoba. Morris took part in the event at the 83kg weight class as a 17 year old Sub Junior.

Morris set an impressive number at the Bench Press being able to lift 97.5kg (215lbs).

But it was his Squat and Deadlift that really turned heads at the event. Morris broke the Provincial Squat record for his age and weight class, putting up a 195kg (435lb) Squat. He also broke the Provincial Deadlift record for his age and weight class, putting up a 217.5kg (480lbs) Deadlift.

Morris won the event for his age and weight class along with also breaking the Provincial record for total combined weight of the three lifts at 510kg (1124 lbs).
