Johnson Back In The SJHL

Former Nipawin Hawks and OCN Blizzard Head Coach, Doug Johnson has landed back in the SJHL.

It is official, the Melville Millionaires inked the three time SJHL Coach Of The Year to a three year deal.

Johnson was able to guide the OCN Blizzard to a 33-19-2-4 record and got the Blizzard into the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.

Doug was able to impress his only year in the MJHL as he was a finalist for Coach Of The Year.

Johnson is the winningest coach in Nipawin Hawks history which included a league Championship in 2018.

Melville has not made the playoffs in almost a decade after parting ways with Jamie Fiesel and the hiring of Johnson will be a big step in turning things around.

Welcome back to the SJHL Doug.
