The Flin Flon Bombers were very impressive on the road this past week coming home with 6 out of a possible 8 points.

 

What makes it even more impressive is that they are winning games without a couple of key players in Cole Tanchuk and Jaeden Mercier.

 

The Bombers are 6-1 in their last 7 as they get ready for their stiffest tests of the season and a weekend showdown with the Battleford Stars.

 

Battleford will hit the Whitney Forum for the first time this season and a couple of Bomber players have been rewarded for their fine play.

 

Alexi Sylvestre was chosen the DirectWest Rookie Of The Week and was one of their best players on the road trip registering 2 goals and 4 assists in the four games played.Sylvestre now has 16 goals and 17 assists on the year which is good for second in overall rookie scoring.

 

His team mate Corey King picked up the SuperU Defenseman Of The Week and was terrific in a defensive role and chipped in with four assists. King has 5 goals and 17 assists in 44 games so far this season.
