Despite some key injuries the Flin Flon Bombers continue to win hockey games and picked up another solid road win last night.

 

The Bombers rolled into Wilcox and beat the Hounds 3 to 1 to pick up their third road win on the trip and have won 6 of their last 7 games.

 

Once again the Bombers had an impressive first period and scored all three goals in the opening frame.

 

Cole Duperreault continues to dominate every single game and scored his team leading 36th to open the game just 3:46 in. Duperreault despite missing the game in Weyburn had an incredible trip where he picked up 5 points in 3 games.

 

Flin Flon is also starting to get some secondary offense as Kylyn Olafson would bang in a rebound off Tucker Inabinet's pad for his second of the season which would stand up as the game winner.

 

After Marko Djordjeic scored to make it a one goal game, local product Joey Lies was able to race down the ice on a break away and put a backhander in for his second of the year.

 

That was it for the offense as both goalies shut the door the rest of the way.

 

Final shots were 36 to 29 in Flin Flon's favour.

 

A great road trip for Flin Flon as they go 3-1 which included wins in Yorkton and an exciting OT win in Estevan on Saturday.

 

The Bombers improve to 30-12-2-1 and are now first in the Sherwood and second overall. They lead both Humboldt and Laronge by two points.

 

A tough loss for Notre Dame as they remain 9th overall and trail Weyburn by 6 points for the final playoff spot.

 

Aother big weekend coming up for the Maroon and White Express as they will host the number one team in Canada, the Battleford Stars this weekend.

 

The Stars have an impressive 83 points and have only lost 3 games in regulatiuon all season.
