Only 4 points separate the Flin Flon Bombers and Humboldt Broncos who get ready to face off in a pair of games this weekend at the Whitney Forum.
The Bombers head into the wekend on a roll, winners of four straight and fresh off a 4 to 3 win in Laronge on Tuesday.
Humboldt is 6-3-1 in their last 10 and haven't played since December the 17th when they shut out the Weyburn Red Wings 3 to 0.
The Broncos are always a stiff test and have one of the best road records in the league at 11 and 5.
Tonight will be the third head to head matchup of the season with each team winning on the road in the first two meetings.
The Broncos took the October 2nd game in Flin Flon by a score of 2 to 1 in the shoot out. Flin Flon took the two points in Humboldt by winning 4 to 1 on November the 20th.
Goaltending is always a factor, and we will see two red hot goalies go head to head this weekend.
Benjamin Motew comes to town, the SJHL Goalie Of The Month from December. Motew was lights out only giving up 5 goals in 4 games including a shut out against Weyburn.
Motew is 8-2-0-1 on the season and has stabilized the Bronco crease.
The Bombers Harmon Laser Hume is also playing extremely well and has won his last 3 decisions. Laser Hume has only given up 6 goals in the three wins and looks like he has rediscovered his mojo from earlier in the season.
After reeling off four straight wins, the Bombers are back in top spot in the Sherwood Division and second overall with 45 points. The Broncos are right there, just four points behind with a game in hand and second in the Global Ag Risk Solution Division with 41 points.
