We are just a few hours away from one of the most anticipated SJHL games of the season.

 

Flin Flon has made their way to the Battlefords for a showdown with the number one team in the country.

 

The Battleford Stars are on an incredible run that has seen them pick up points in 21 straight games. Battleford has yet to lose in regulation and are a staggering 18-0-2-1 to start the year.

 

Battleford can fill the net as they are the only team to score over a 100 goals and have also given up the least amount at just 46. Flin Flon has given up th second least amount of 48.

 

Flin Flon is certainly no slouch and make their way to the Battlefords with a record of 14-4-1-1 which is first in the Sherwood and second overall, tied with Humboldt.

 

This will also be the first meeting between these two teams since the Bombers eliminated the Stars in last years playoffs.

 

Who could ever forget the way it went down. Battleford took the first two at home quite handilly, and had the Bombers on the ropes. Flin Flon went home for game three and their whole season turned around.

 

Over 1100 fans showed up and the Bombers caught fire winning the next four and then went on to beat Humboldt in 5. This would set up the historic league final against Estevan.

 

It was one of the most impressive playoff runs for this historic franchise and Battleford will have revenge on their minds.

 

Due to some arena problems at the Civic Centre,  tonight's game will be played in nearbye Wilkie. puck drop is still 7:30.

 

Tomorrow's game will be played at the Battleford Arena with a face off start at 2pm.
