Juniors Sweep Selects

The PBCN Selects were in tough this weekend as they hosted the number one team in the KJHL, the Peguis Juniors.

 

Peguis took both games at the Whitney Forum by scores of 7 to 4 and 7 to 3.

 

On Saturday the Selects blew a 3 to 1 lead and ended up surrendering 4 goals in the second period and couldn't recover.

 

Nik Bear continues to score at will and led the Selects with a pair of goals his 18th and 19th of the season.

 

Braxton Constant Kuba was in the pipes for PBCN and he gave up 7 goals on 41 shots.

 

The Selects ended up with 30 shots on the tandem of Tyrese Bear and Marcus Whitecloud.

 

On Sunday, The Selects hung in there early and trailed 3 to 2 after 1, but the offense dried up and couldn't get much going for the final two periods.

 

The Juniors controlled the final two periods out scoring PBCN 4 to 1.

 

Caden Joanis, Leon Natomagen and Embey Roberts scored the Select Goals.

 

Peguis out shot PBCN 35 to 24.

 

After the weekend the Selects will drop to 4-6-0-1 and sit fourth overall. Peguis improves to a league best 10 and 1.

 

PBCN will next see action this weekend against the OCN Storm.
