Off To Wakaw

The Creighton Kodiaks managed to get the snow cleared off their field and had a good week of practise in preparation for their playoff game in Wakaw Saturday.

The Kodiaks are healthy and riding a high after a 42 to 36 win against Cumberland House to capture their third straight Northern Saskatchewan Football title last weekend.

Creighton will be the under-dog as Wakaw is the number one team in the province and are undefeated this season.

Head Coach Ryan Karakochuk relishes the underdog role " It is exciting and we are going to go there and show them what a Northern team is. There Conference was weak this year and I talked to their coach and he said they had no one to play this year. We have seen the film on who they played and we are going to be ready as we possibly can be. We have the players to get the job done. I fell very confident that we will score points and if we make some plays on defense, you just never know what can happen."

The weather is supposed to be very good and kickoff is 1pm Sask time on Saturday.

Lots of parents and spectattors are expected to make the trip to Wakaw this weekend.
