Bombers Go 2-2 On The Road

The Flin Flon Bombers managed to go 2-2 on a tough Southern road swing,  which concluded with a 4 to 1 loss Saturday in Wilcox.

The Notre Dame Hounds jumped on the Bombers for 2 goals in the first period courtesy of Carson Baylis and Jaryd Sych.

Sych and Baylis would also score later in the game and made the deficit 4 to 0 and the Bombers couldn't recover.

Flin Flon's lone goal came from Liam Bridger who added his second on the powerplay early in the third.

Tucker Inabionet shut the door the rest of the way and made 31 saves.

Bomber rookie, Kenneth Marquart started his third game of the season and suffered his first loss allowing 4 goals on 46 shots.

After the road trip, the Bombers are still in good shape with a record of  8-3-1-1 and still sit first in the Sherwood with 18 points.

Notre Dame will improve to 4-6-0-1 and sit third in the Global Ag Risk  Solution Division.

The Bombers will now get a few days to recuperate after the weekend,  and don't play again til this Friday when Notre Dame will make the trip up North.

Puck drop will be at 7:30 and we will have the broadcast here on 102.9 CFAR and flinflononline.com. Tune in at 7:10 for the Great North GM Coach's Show.
