Selects Drop First Two Games In Thompson

The PBCN Selects played their first two ever regular season  games this past weekend in the Keystone Junior B Hockey League.

The Selects travelled up to Thompson to battle the Nelson House Flames who are regarded as one of the top teams in the league.

PBCN had a good showing in both games losing the first game 5 to 2 on Saturday. Team Captain Tyler Bird scored the first goal ever in franchise history , with the other marker coming from Leon  Natomagen.

On Sunday,  the Selects actually led 4 to 3 late in the third, but a late penalty cost them and the Flames tied the game and eventually rallied for the 5 to 4 win.

Flames goalie Braedin Melsted was the difference as PBCN heavilly out shot them yesterday afternoon.

The Select goals came from Kik Bear who had 2, Leon Natamogan and Dwayne McKenzie.

PBCN is back on the road this weekend, making their way to Cross Lake before hosting Norway House in the home opener on October the 15th at the Whitney Forum.
