The Creighton Kodiaks will finally play their much awaited home opener this Friday under the lights against Sandy Bay.
The defending Northern Saskatchewan football champions have rolled over Ahtahkakoop and SMVS out of Laronge, and haven't given up a single point in two lopsided victories to start the season.
Sandy Bay is also 2-0 and always play the Kodiaks tough according to Head Coach Ryan Karakochuk. "Sandy Bay has traditionally given us trouble and beat us the last time we travelled there a couple years back. They throw the ball a ton and is a big reason why they are 2 and 0. We need to be ready for that and they will present a different type of challenge."
Kickoff will be at 7:30 this Friday night at the Creighton Field and there will be lots of events taking place including a 50/50, raffles and Chicken Chef will be looking after the concession.
This will be the first regular game to be played under the lights in the leauge's history.
