The Flin Flon Bombers are very excited to announce the signing of forward Zach Vockler from Sioux Falls South Dakota.

 

Zach is the younger brother of Bomber forward Jacob Vockler.

 

Vockler put up great numbers with the Badlands Sabres of the NA3HL where he wound up with 51 points including 22 goals.

 

The Bombers had a chance to evaluate Zach at their spring camp in May and were really impressed with his skill.

 

Flin Flon also announced that former team captain Zak  Smith will get a chance to continue his hockey career at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia this fall.

 

Smith is coming off a brilliant season with the Bombers that saw him finish second in team scoring with 48 points. He also led the team in goals with 20 and finished with 17 points in their playoff run.

 

Smith is the fifth Bomber to receive a scholarship this season.
